On Wednesday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. the Princeton University’s Whig Senate Chamber will host a debate about boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The debate is cosponsored by J Street U, the Princeton Committee on Palestine, and Whig Clio, with funding from the USG Projects Board. Panelists include Max Blumenthal, journalist and author; Rebecca Vilkomerson, executive director of Jewish Voice for Peace; and Daniel May, director of J Street U. Vilkomerson and Blumenthal will take pro-BDS positions; May and a fourth speaker will oppose. The recent campus controversy surrounding PCP’s referendum on Sabra hummus offers an opportunity to discuss the movement in its broader context and hear from BDS’s most notable supporters and opponents. There will be a brief reception after the debate. Facebook Event Link: www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=177331965619062.
