The second Public Forum of the Consolidation Commission that was canceled due to inclement weather has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the John Witherspoon Middle School cafeteria. The agenda remains the same, and all members of the public are invited to attend. Visit cgr.org/princeton for more information. The Princeton Senior Resource Center will also host a Forum for the Consolidation Commission on Tuesday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m., in the Suzanne Patterson Building, behind Borough Hall.

To consider next steps, the Princeton Fair Tax Revaluation Group is holding an important public meeting on the revaluation for both Princeton Borough and Township residents. The group will be presenting the status of its work to date, will be seeking a consensus on next steps, and will be seeking public consensus on possibilities for legal action. The meeting will be held in the Township Hall Auditorium, 400 Witherspoon Street, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9.

The Republican Women of Mercer County, through its affiliation with the National Federation of Republican Women, is seeking applications for the Kabis Memorial Internship Program for young women. The Internship is named after former National Federation of Republican Women President, Dorothy Andrews Kabis, who was appointed Treasurer of the United States by President Richard Nixon. The application deadline is February 15. Internship applications are available on line at the Republican Women of Mercer County’s web site, www.rwomc.org. Applications must include the completed form, three letters of recommendation, an official copy of the applicant’s college transcript, two one-page typed essays, and an optional photograph. Completed application packages must be submitted to the Republican Women of Mercer County, PO Box 901, Pennington, N.J. The State Federation President will choose one application from New Jersey to submit to the national organization. The internship winners will be selected by the National Federation of Republican Women’s Executive Committee.
