With a throng of more than 4,000 on hand at Jadwin Gym and a national television audience watching on ESPNU, the Princeton University men’s basketball team wanted to put on a show as it hosted Harvard last Friday evening.
John Zdunkiewicz views hockey goaltending as an intricate puzzle.
“There are so many different pieces that you have to make sure fit into place,” said Zdunkiewicz, who is in his debut season as the goalie coach for the Princeton University women’s hockey team. “Once they all fit into place, it all comes together.”
After thoroughly dominating the preliminary session of the Mercer County Swimming Championships last week, the Princeton High boys’ swimming team sat in the pole position for the finals on Saturday.
Francois Bourbeau wasn’t brimming with confidence as his fifth-seeded Hun School boys’ hockey team prepared to play at No. 4 Montclair-Kimberley last Friday in the state Prep tournament.
Kat Smithson likes the commitment she has seen from each of her players on the Princeton Day School girls’ hockey team throughout the season.
“A personal goal for each player has been to recognize their weaknesses and play to their strengths,” said PDS head coach Smithson. “They have each worked to become a stronger player and contribute more to the team.”
