| A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues Question of the Week: "What are your views on the recent announcement of the successful cloning of human embryos?"
"I am pretty much against the use of cloning for human reproduction. However, I do feel that cloning has its place for harvesting stem cells because of its great potential value for medicinal purposes for curing many of mankind's illnesses." Philip Criuckshank, Dodds Lane "I think it's probably not something that we should mess around with." Christy Cronin, Princeton University Student "There are problems with it, definitely. We don¹t want to play God, obviously, and a lot of people will clone as playing God in a way. Right now I would caution against it I think it's dangerous." J.P. Carlson, Emmons Street "I think for the curing of disease, it can do a lot of good. Obviously I don't want to see humans cloned, except for medical research." Valerie Atkins, Princeton University Student "Cloning of embryos is a fine development of what may be an important new discovery to save all kinds of people from suffering and misery. And I think that if properly used and disciplined by the scientific community, it is terrific." Nicholas VanDyck, Queenstown Place
