The Princeton Regional Board of Education will hold a public budget forum on Thursday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the John Witherspoon Middle School.
Pennington Quality Food Market will be the first food collection site in 2011 for Yes We CAN! Food Drives. The volunteer group will be at the market Saturday, January 8, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Shoppers will be asked to purchase additional produce and/or canned food to be distributed to The Crisis Ministry food bank in Trenton. Three thousand people a month use the free food at the pantry. Rep. Rush Holt (NJ-12) will be sworn into the 112th Congress on Wednesday, January 5, at 11 a.m. As he begins his seventh term representing New Jerseys 12th Congressional District, he will be joined by constituents, including Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon, students, along with other members of Congress, including civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis (GA-05). The ceremony will take place in the Montpelier Room at the James Madison Building of the Library of Congress.
