DOUBLE AGENT: Princeton University men’s basketball player Kareem Maddox heads to the hoop in Princeton’s 73-40 win over The College of New Jersey last Sunday at Jadwin Gym. Maddox produced a double-double in the victory, scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. The triumph improved the Tigers to 12-4 and was the team’s 10th win in its last 11 games. Princeton will look to keep rolling when its starts Ivy League play this weekend by hosting Brown (7-9 overall, 0-2 Ivy) on January 28 and Yale (9-7 overall, 2-0 Ivy) the next night.

Eric Shorter gained some important lessons in perseverance this past fall, starring as a receiver for a Princeton High football team that went 0-10.

“It is a mental state; not getting a win builds mental toughness,” said the 6’0, 170 pound Shorter, a consistent bright spot for the Little Tigers who had 27 receptions for 525 yards and four touchdowns. “It helps me be more aggressive but also stay composed.”

After suffering two tough losses in the last week, the Stuart Country Day School basketball team engaged in some film study last Friday.

“Yesterday in practice, all we did was just run through our offense and defense and figure out what was going on in the games,” said Stuart senior star Amber Bowman.
