On behalf of Princeton’s Human Services Commission and Department, we extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to the following individuals and organizations for their generosity during our 10th annual holiday gift drive. They were:

Thanks to the generous participation of these donors, 154 children were adopted and had at least one of their holiday wishes come true. It is indeed wonderful to be part of a community that provides such a spirit of caring, compassion, and support.

To the Editor:
On behalf of the volunteers of Princeton Area Change for America, we would like to thank the community for its generous support of our “Cans, Clothes & Coins” event January 10 at the Albert E. Hinds Library Plaza.
Despite the snowy weather, hundreds of people showed up to donate food, clothing, and money to help needy families in Mercer County. We are happy to report that the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) will share 170 large bags of food, with HomeFront the recipient of 200 large bags of clothing.
In addition, the three organizations will divide the coins and check donations, which totaled $2,754. Many thanks to the Bank of Princeton, which doubled the $862 collected in coins.
We would especially like to thank Emily Reeves for designing our flyer and FLM Graphics for printing it. Kudos also to Mercer County Freeholder Daniel Benson and Princeton Township Mayor Bernie Miller for spending many hours off-loading clothes and food from cars and hauling them onto our trucks. Thanks also to the Princeton Packet, Trenton Times, and Town Topics for their efforts in publicizing the event.
In addition, our sincere appreciation goes to our intrepid volunteers who staffed the tables and to the team of 8th graders from John Witherspoon School who worked in the cold with impressive energy and politeness.
