So many people turned out for it, and nothing violent happened. Everyone cried it was a beautiful moment. It was a wonderful happening. Who would have thought? We were limited to doctors, lawyers, maybe a congressman that was as high as we could go. Now I can tell my son, You can be anything you want, anything is possible. Scott: With the world watching, President Obama captured the moment beautifully. He acknowledged that, yes, these are difficult times with serious challenges, But, when he said, Know this, America they will be met, I felt an overwhelming sense of optimism and patriotism. Jennifer: Ill remember seeing the massive crowd on the Mall. I grew up in D.C., and have been to lots of events on the Mall; and nothing Ive been to comes close to Obamas inauguration.
