Kathleen Mary Kathy McHugh, 61, of Princeton Borough, died Thursday, June 30, at the University Medical Center at Princeton after a lengthy illness.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a graduate of the Temple University BSN program. She began her working career as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room and then the Critical Care Unit at RWJ at Hamilton, the former Hamilton Hospital, in Hamilton, N.J. Later in her career, she worked as a school nurse in the Princeton Regional School System.
In addition to being a homemaker and caring for her family, she was an avid traveler, scuba diver, and outdoors person.
She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Fielding Townsend. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Charles McHugh, her daughter and son, Deborah and Daniel McHugh, father, Frank Townsend, four brothers, James, Thomas, Robert, and Joseph, and her sister Patricia.

A memorial service will be held for Doris Balson Feiman Peskin on Sunday, July 17 at 2 p.m. at Stonebridge at Montgomery, 100 Montgomery Road, Skillman.
