There will be a special meeting of the Borough Zoning Board of Adjustment at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, at Borough Hall. The subject is the proposed Greenview Avenue development that would allow the demolition of six existing residential units and the construction of a new 14-unit multi-family condominuum.

The Township Tax Office has issued the the following reminder: “Taxes are due on February 1; May 1; August 1; and November 1. Quarterly taxes are now due. Taxes are due on the 1st, with a ten day grace period. Payment must reach our office by the August 10. Any payments after the 10th will accrue interest back to the due date of the 1st.”

The Property Tax Reimbursement, also known as the Senior Freeze, deadline has been extended from its original due date of June 2 to August 15. To qualify for this program you must be 65 or older and meet income requirements or you must be disabled and receiving social security benefits as of December 31, 2007. This program reimburses senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax increases from the original year filed, with a rebate check of the difference from the Division of Taxation.
