It has changed dramatically. When there are things to do for the family, whoever is free will take care of it. There is no question about the difference between my father and me. He would not even pick up a plate from the dinner table. Guraub Kishore with wife, Priya Chandra and Anaya Chandra, Princeton |
Yes, I see it changing. In the past, the roles were much more tightly defined. Im very different from my father who was rather strict and did not spend much time with his kids. I have three and I try to spend a fair amount of time with all of them. My wife and I try to keep our child-raising responsibilities as even as we can. Dick Majaski, Princeton |
Im probably less strict than my father, but I think that the basic values do not change. My dads job was to make a living; my moms was to take care of the house and children. Now, I see it as being more equal. John Pecora, Princeton |
I had a pretty involved father, and my husband was very involved in the raising of our children. I see that as a general trend among dads. Susan Starr, West Windsor |
