As part of the Princeton University pedestrian bridge overpass construction, Washington Road, between Faculty Road and Prospect Avenue, will be closed on consecutive weekends through July 19, beginning each Friday at 8 p.m. and reopening each Monday by 6 a.m. Additional weekday night closures will also occur during this period from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. A detour route will be posted, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during these time periods.
The Arts Council of Princetons (ACP) Annual Membership Meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts. The renovated and expanded arts center, designed by architect Michael Graves, opened to the public on June 5, 2008, and among the activities planned for the evening will be an anniversary celebration with cake and champagne. The ACPs most significant annual honor, the Arts Vision Award, will be presented this year to Judith and William Scheide for their generosity and leadership for culture and the arts in the Princeton community. The ACP will also present the annual Pride of the Arts Council Awards for volunteers, business and community partners, and artists. Board of trustee elections will be held during the evening.
