Ann Formoso, 70, a Princeton resident for many years, died at home on Sunday, March 6 after a long struggle with cancer and a rare blood disease. She was surrounded by family and “Ann’s Village”, a group of friends and neighbors who provided continuing care throughout her illness.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Ms. Formoso was the daughter of the late Theodore and Sylvia Formoso. She grew up in Red Bank, N.J., later attending Marymount College in Arlington, Va. and The Katherine Gibbs School in New York City. She worked as a real estate agent for many years in Princeton and the surrounding area.
A person of many interests, Ms. Formoso was an avid sailor, enthusiastic gardener, a fervent devotee of garage sales and early morning coffee dates in Princeton cafes, and a devoted animal lover. She saved, fostered, and adopted many abandoned dogs and cats. Her interests also included bird-watching, photography, contra dancing, and social activism. She was a member of the Princeton Friends Meeting.
Predeceased by her daughter, Hilary Sigler, Ms. Formoso is survived by a son, James Sigler of Matlacha, Fla.; four grandchildren, Akilah, Deviana, Isaiah, and Cameron Sigler; and a brother, Charles Formoso and his wife Bernadette of Philadelphia and Coconut Grove, Fla. After the death of her daughter in 2002, Ms. Formoso assumed the devoted care of three of her grandchildren, two of whom will continue to live in Princeton.
A memorial service will be held at the Princeton Friends Meeting house at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas, 75265-0309.
James T. Dwyer III, 53, of Princeton, died February 28.
Born in Houston, Texas, he came of age in New Canaan, Conn.
He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics and business administration at The Johns Hopkins University. He held executive positions at Maryland National Bank and Citicorp, and was a Senior Vice President at both Merrill Lynch and Morgan Keegan & Co. Most recently he served as President and Founder of MPI Securities, Inc., the investment banking affiliate of Princeton-based Management Planning, Inc., where he was also Vice President/Regional Sales Director.
He served on the board of Associated Catholic Charities of Memphis, Tenn., and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Trenton, N.J. A member of the Second Decade Society at Johns Hopkins, he was also a parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church in Skillman. He was a Treasurer of the New York Athletic Club’s Anglers and helped arrange several fishing expeditions. He loved vacationing in Florida with his family, coaching his children’s sports teams, lacrosse goal tending, and fly-fishing.
Predeceased by his father, James T. Dwyer Jr.; he is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, James, Hayden, and Caleigh Dwyer; his mother, Judy Dwyer; his sister, Judy Woolls; and his brothers, Walter, Michael, and Robert Dwyer.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 4 in St. Charles Borromeo, 47 Skillman Road, Skillman. Private cremation followed with burial in Rocky Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Shirley Rennie, of Princeton, died February 2.
Born in California, she grew up in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.
She trained as a nurse in Vancouver and then worked in hospitals in Seattle, Wash. and Monterey, Calif. After an extended trip to Europe and England where she also worked as a nurse, she returned to the U.S. and settled in Princeton.
In Princeton she worked in Princeton Hospital and then with the Princeton Medical Group. In 1965 she joined the Planned Parenthood Association, Inc. of the Mercer area where she worked tirelessly as an advocate for reproductive freedom until her retirement in 2001. When Planned Parenthood hired her, she was the first full time registered nurse to provide reproductive health care to women in Trenton.
She continued her education and training and became one of the first nurse practitioners in the state of New Jersey. As a nurse practitioner, she worked with the University of Pennsylvania to mentor student nurse practitioners, a program that continues to this day, and provided gynecological and breast examinations to thousands of women who came to Planned Parenthood for care, ran a program for women after menopause, and even served as Director of the Agency for a brief period.
Second to nursing, her great interest was the theatre, especially theatrical costume. As a volunteer she designed and made many of the costumes for productions by PJ & B in the early sixties. She was a gifted needlewoman as well. She not only loved people, but animals as well — especially cats.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at All Saints Church in Princeton. Memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood, 437 East State Street, Trenton, N.J. 08608.
Olga Ruth Greene, 84, of Franklin Township, died February 24.
Born in Princeton, she graduated from Bordentown Training School in 1944. She retired from Princeton University after 18 years of service. She was a member of Daughters of Isis and Khufu Lodge #118 Princeton.
Predeceased by her parents, Ernest Hill and Rosella F. Hill Holmes; a sister, Ernestine H. Craig; her husband, Charles Joseph Greene; and a daughter, Charla I. Gilchrist; she is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Jefferson; two sisters, Cynthia and Janice Hall; six grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
A funeral service was held on March 4 at First Baptist Church followed by interment in Princeton Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
Helen L. Walker died February 16.
Born in Trenton to the late Henry and Alma Ludeke, she was a long time resident of Hopewell Borough.
An alumna of Trenton High, she graduated from Bradford Jr. College in 1948 and Tobe Coburn School for Fashion Careers in 1949. She worked for Lord and Taylor in New York City and NJ Manufacturers Ins. Co. in Trenton.
She always listed her occupation as homemaker, but those that knew her well knew this to be an understatement. In addition to raising two sons and devoting endless hours to her church, she also had many successful home-based endeavors that highlighted her exceptional artistic talent. She could be found creating something in embroidery, dried/pressed flowers, and calligraphy among many other things. She loved her gardens, reading, and music. From the early sixties and for many years she blessed the third grade children at Hopewell Elementary with her ceramic talents, helping them to create the Santa Boots that are still treasured by many.
She was a long time parishioner of All Saints Church in Princeton, where she volunteered for numerous committees and boards. From 1979 she was a proud member of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, Philadelphia chapter. During her years with the society she held numerous positions in both her chapter and the Society.
Wife of the late William H. Walker, former Hopewell Mayor, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ted and Henry Ludeke; and her sisters, Elise Barish and Florence Publicover. She is survived by two sons, William and Gregory; and five grandchildren.
Donations may be made in her memory to either All Saints Church, Princeton; or Saint Andrews Church, Yardley, Pa.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at All Saints Church, Princeton.
Nanci Marie Fasanella, of Florence, died February 26 at home.
Born in Princeton, she resided most of her life in Princeton before moving to Lawrenceville, and then to Florence in 2000.
A devoted Catholic, she was very active with the church.
She was focused on working with children and strengthening families, working in various positions over the years. She had been the Program Manager for Strengthening Families at the NJ Department of Children & Families. Additionally, she was serving as Project Manager in The Children’s Futures Early Literacy Program at Mercer County Community College and served on The Policy Advisory Board at Kean University Advocating Growth for Early Childhood Educators.
She held a master’s degree in Education from The College of New Jersey, a BA from Seton Hill College; an Associates Degree from Marymount College; and graduated high school from Villa Victoria Academy.
The daughter of the late Joseph J. and Betty A. Fasanella Sr., she is survived by two brothers, Joseph J. Jr. and Guy Fasanella.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 5 at St. Paul’s Church. Burial followed in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours were held on March 5 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home.
