Scott Sowanick hasn't focused that much on individual statistics during his career with the Princeton University men's lacrosse team.
"I'm not a big scorer," said the senior midfielder and co-captain. "I'm like a point guard in a way, I kick it off and get things started. I try to draw slides and ignite the offense to get the ball moving."
The 5'10, 175-pound native of Bethesda, Md. played his role to the hilt last Saturday as he helped trigger Princeton to a 13-6 win over Dartmouth before a crowd of 2,412 at Class of 1952 Stadium.
Sal Iacono was determined to make his last regular season weekend with the Princeton University baseball team one to remember.
With Princeton needing to sweep two doubleheaders from Cornell in order to force a playoff with Penn for the Ivy League's Gehrig Division title, Iacono was primed to produce in the middle of the Tiger order.

This past Wednesday at Mercer County Park, the Princeton Day school junior faced a different set of physical challenges as he looked to repeat his title.
The slogan on the T-shirts worn by the Princeton Day School girls' lacrosse team reads "unfinished business."
But the PDS squad has faced a major hurdle in taking care of its business in the wake of the recent season-ending knee injury to high-scoring senior star Katie Briody.
With Briody cheering and coaching from the sidelines last week with a large brace on her left knee, PDS hosted Hun School, primed to handle a bit of that business as it looked to avenge last spring's bitter one-goal loss to the Raiders.
Playing at second doubles, the Princeton High duo of Andrew Berman and Aaron Maltby got off to a good start last Wednesday in the final day of competition at the 2007 Mercer County Tournament.
The pair won the first set of their semifinals match 6-2 against Scott Weinreb and Brandon Frank of WW/P-N and seemed on course to advance to the finals.
But Bergman and Maltby lost the next two sets to end up in the third place match instead. Although the pair recovered to win that match, the result symbolized a day of missed opportunities for the Little Tigers.
