A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week: "Do you think John Bolton should be confirmed as ambassador to the United Nations?"

"I think he should be confirmed because he is the President's choice. I think the UN needs a kick in the butt, and, apparently, that's the kind of individual he is a tough and stern man and I believe that he will represent our interests very well."

Allen Svennevik, Co-owner, Color Me Mine, Princeton Shopping Center

"The US needs a tough person at the United Nations to get our agenda across, so, in that sense I'm for it, but then again, I'm against it because he is a little too outspoken. So, he's right at the edge."

Ed Belbruno, Wiggins Street

"Yes, I think he should be confirmed. I think he would do a good job, and that the UN needs someone like him to maybe straighten it out a bit."

Robert Fluss, Derwent Drive

"I just don't think that Bolton should be confirmed. I don't think that we should be throwing a contentious guy into the UN, that the President should be bullying the Senate to confirm him, nor should we be sending someone to the UN with the reputation as a bully."

Howard Levy, Knoll Drive

"Yes. It's the President's foreign policy this is the person whom he has chosen and we should go with it. If we are displeased, it should be reflected in the next election."

John Lopez-Ona (with Amelia), Winfield Road
