Linda Emma Marie Olson, 91, of Boulder, Colo., died November 15 at the HospiceCare Center of Boulder and Broomfield Counties in Louisville, Colo. She had been a Princeton resident before moving to Boulder in 1998.

Born in Bronx, New York, the daughter of Ferdinand and Emma Martha Heine, she was a graduate of Wadleigh High School in New York City.

She was a retired secretary for the Princeton University Mathematics Department.

Before moving to Colorado she was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church.

Predeceased by her husband, Carl V. Olson, in 1993, she is survived by two sons, Bruce of Reston, Va., and Clint of Louisville, Colo.; a daughter, Freya Olson of Erie, Colo.; a sister, Agnes Jiggins of Delray Beach, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be announced at a later date, and will be held at Princeton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Golden West Foundation, 1055 Adams Circle, Boulder, Colo. 80303.

John R. O'Neill

John R. "Jack" O'Neill, 71, of Princeton, died November 11 at home.

Born in Princeton, he was a lifelong area resident.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a Special Officer with the Princeton Borough Police Department and for 43 years a supervisor of parking operations with the Borough. An avid Princeton University sports fan, he also served as a guard and usher at Palmer Stadium for many years.

He was an important influence to Princeton youths for his knowledge of baseball and ability to coach players. He coached Princeton YMCA youth baseball, PBA youth baseball, PYBA youth baseball, and Princeton Recreation Center softball. He also coached the first all-girl little league baseball in Princeton.

He was a member of Princeton American Legion Post No. 76, a 33-year member of the Princeton Hook and Ladder Fire Company, and a member of St. Paul's Church.

Son of the late John A. and Sarah M. Rogers O'Neill, and brother of the late Margaret O'Neill, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth ("Betty"); two sons, Stephen of Blawenburg and Bruce of Lawrenceville; a twin brother, Donald of Midland, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral was November 23 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home. It was followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Church. Burial was in the family plot in Princeton Cemetery.

Giuseppina Tamasi

Giuseppina Tamasi, 95, of Princeton, died November 18 at home.

Born in Pettoranello, Italy, she had lived in Princeton since 1949.

She is survived by two daughters, Filomena Carnevale of Princeton and Bambina Carnevale of Lambertville; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on November 22 at St. Paul's Church. Entombment was in the family mausoleum in Princeton Cemetery.
