Gallery 14 to Exhibit Guest Photographers
Gallery 14 in Hopewell will focus on guest photographers at its annual Member/Guest Invitational Exhibit opening September 5. The exhibit will mark the second anniversary of the Gallery¹s operation.
This exhibit will feature the work of area photographers, each chosen by gallery members for the quality and interest of their work.
Ken Kaplowitz, professor of photography at the College of New Jersey, will show his photographic collage work. Rosemary Peters, a Princeton native now living in New York City, will present her moody and often surreal landscapes. She has exhibited widely in the New York area.
Heather Reagan-Holihan's photographs present the romance of Venice, using color abstracts and reflections of the buildings with strong compositional forms. Professional photographer Bill Vandever will again exhibit his large-scale works. He works in a wide range of photographic styles including hand coloring and digital manipulation of his images.
Ross Wagner, founder of the Unique Vision Workshop at the Watchung Arts Center, photographs the land and its people in stark forms. He will show views of nature and man¹s influence on it.
Diane Levell works in traditional processes and will show work in gum bichromate and cyanotype at this exhibit. Her photographs, which have been exhibited in Germany and New York, feature abstract forms found in close-ups of natural objects.
Other photographers participating in the exhibit will be Jim Hilgendorf, a Gallery 14 member; Bruce Berenson, Martha Weintraub, and Jim Ambrogi.
The exhibit opens on September 5 with a reception for the public from 6 to 9 p.m., and continues through October 12.
Gallery 14 is located at 14 Mercer Street, Hopewell. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m., and by appointment.
