Registration is underway for the Princeton Recreation Department’s bus trip to the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, scheduled for Thursday, December 1. The fee is $75 per person and includes charter bus transportation and admission to the show. An Introduction to Medicare will be presented by Fran Cancro, Customer Service Representative, State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), Division of Aging and Community Services. Ms. Cancro will explain how Medicare is administered; eligibility for it; and enrollment periods. She will explain the “Original” Medicare (Parts A and B), and the various types of plans in Medicare Advantage (Part C) Medicare HMOs, PPOs, SNPs, PFFS plans. She will also discuss Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D), and provide resources for all of these programs.

The New Jersey State House needs volunteers to provide guided tours in the second oldest State House in the United States. Training begins in Trenton in October. For more information, call (609) 633-2709 or email crogers@njleg.org.

Free student aid workshops for high school students and their parents will be offered on Wednesday, October 19 at the Hopewell Township Municipal Complex and on Thursday, October 20, at Brookdale College. Sponsored by Congressman Rush Holt (D-12) in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education, the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, and Rutgers University, both programs will begin at 7 p.m. and include experts offering information on financial aid opportunities at the federal, state, and campus levels, including Pell Grants, Perkins Loans, and scholarship and loan programs offered by the State of New Jersey. Save The Dinky joined Anne Waldon Neumann, Peter Marks, Rodney Fisk, Walter Neumann and all others similarly situated as plaintiffs requesting the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division to restrain the trustees of Princeton University and New Jersey Transit from moving the terminus of the Dinky from its existing location, along with permanent injunctive relief barring such relocation.
