A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues
Molly: Its a beautiful older Post Office and its a shame that it will be closing. We are big fans of the mail. We dont want to see it go. I could see this as a community center. Elaina and Rosa: A big JaZams store. Molly Deaguiar with daughters Elaina and Rosa, Highland Park |
The Post Office building has been an institution and its sad that its closing. I would like to see a business that is local and does not sell goods produced in China or overseas. Corrie Sirkin, Princeton |
With the evolution of email and bill paying via the internet, I understand why they are going out of business. It is sad we are losing the excitement of mail arriving from a pen pal. We could see a dog friendly place. In Europe there are places you can go with your dog and hang out. Ernie, Abbie (dog), and Susan Sirkin, South Brunswick |
I would like to see a municipal building like an extension to the library, or move Borough Hall to Palmer Square. Steve Doran, Princeton |
Its horrible that its closing but it comes down to people not using it. The building should be used for something else for the public service; it shouldnt be a commercial bar or retail store that will help a capitalist. It should be something that will benefit the community. Dawson: A place where you can play basketball. Sophia: It should be a library and a science studio. Panna Sharma with Dawson (left) and Sophia, Princeton |
Its a historic place, its unfortunate. I think that it should be used for the public interest. It is such a nice, large building located in the center of town; it should be used for community events. It could be a private enterprise. Mario Russo, Princeton |
