The D&R Greenway invites the public to celebrate the dedication of the Scott and Hella McVay Poetry Trail on Sunday, October 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Greenway Meadows Park off Rosedale Road in Princeton. The poetry signs will be unveiled at 3 p.m., and the event is free and open to all. The McVays, who have lived in Princeton for over 50 years, chose to create the trail for the benefit of the community. It is a mile long and features work by poets from multiple countries and time periods on signs designed and constructed by Zienowicz Signs in Trenton. Hand-hewn benches by David Robinson also line the trail, inviting the saunterer to pause and ponder the relationship between poetry and the natural world.
Financial journalist, author, and New York Times contributing columnist Anna Bernasek (Princeton Master of Public Policy 99) will present a free public lecture on The Economics of Integrity at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, in Bowl 016, Robertson Hall. A book signing and public reception will follow in the Bernstein Gallery. Ms. Bernaseks most recent book is The Economics of Integrity: From Dairy Farmers to Toyota, How Wealth Is Built on Trust and What That Means for Our Future.
