Weiner-Simon. Marc David Weiner and Michael Patrick Simon,
both of Princeton, affirmed their commitment on Saturday, October
16 at the Doral Forrestal in Princeton. Rabbi Claire I. Green
of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., officiated at the Jewish wedding
ceremony in the Reconstructionist tradition, witnessed by Dr.
and Mrs. Bruce Weiner of Maple Glen, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs.
Anthony Luke Simon of West Bloomfield, Mich. The couple previously
executed a New Jersey State Affidavit of Domestic Partnership
and will be married under Canadian law on October 20 in Vancouver,
B.C. They will continue to reside in Princeton. Mr.
Weiner, 45, is a project director for the Office of Population Research
at Princeton University, overseeing the Campus Life in America Student
Survey, a Ford Foundation project studying diversity in higher education.
He is a co-author-editor of The Future of American Democratic Politics,
a collection of essays about democracy's prospects in the new millennium.
He received a bachelor's degree in political philosophy from Syracuse
University, a juris doctor from Widener University, and will receive
his Ph.D. in political science from Rutgers University in May.
Mr. Simon, 40, is a senior director for Princeton Consultants,
Inc., where he specializes in complex inter-modal transportation
tracking systems. He was an Alumni Distinguished Scholar and
Phi Beta Kappa at Michigan State University, graduating summa
cum laude with bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics,
and earned a master's degree in astrophysical sciences/plasma
physics from Princeton University. | |
