A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week: Who would you like to see give a free public lecture in Princeton and on what topic?

“Andre Maman. He was a professor at Princeton and he is still probably a senator for the French who live abroad. I’d like to hear him talk on Franco-American relations post-Iraq. I can’t think of a better person to talk on that topic.”

- Carl Gachet, North Harrison Street

“Susan Sontag on AIDS and metaphors. I read her book on that and it’s quite interesting. She is a very important and intelligent person, especially in these days where there are so many prejudices.”

- Pedro Monteiro, South Stanworth Drive

“George [W.] Bush. Though I’m not really a big fan of him politically, I do think he has shown some leadership recently. It would be interesting to hear [him] give a justification for going into Iraq and ousting the regime there, and its effects on the United States after September 11.”

- Robert Osada, Lakeview Terrace

“My son, Robert Borg. He just got a book [The Musician’s Handbook] published. It’s about the music industry. He has had several appearances at other universities, but not at Princeton [University] yet. He graduated from Princeton High School and then went to Berklee College of Music. He has been touring a lot and he knows all about the music industry.”

- Josephine Borg, Ewing Street
