Eileen A. Robertiello, 88, of Princeton, died September 18 at home.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y. and raised in Jersey City, she had been a resident of Princeton since 1948.
She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at the Princeton Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Daughters, Princeton American Legion Post 76, Princeton First Aid Ladies Auxiliary, and the 3rd Armored Division Association.
Daughter of the late Edmund Vincent and Regina Veronica Caulfield; wife of the late Henry “Rick” Robertiello; sister of the late Edmund Caulfield Jr., Vera Reinstein, and Joan Smurlo; she is survived by her son, Jack Robertiello; her daughter, Eileen Caito; and two grandchildren.
The funeral was held on September 24 from the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on September 24 at St. Paul’s Church, Princeton. Entombment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
John Joseph Leahy Jr., 79, formerly of Princeton, died September 14 following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born on November 2, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Alice and John Leahy. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Later, he graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in mathematics and then worked as a salesman for IBM.
He was an entrepreneur by nature, he was one of the founders of Princeton Time Sharing and later went on to be sole owner and President of Applications General Corporation, which he owned for 30 years (1971-2001).
He married Mary Ann McEnroe on October 7, 1972.
Predeceased by his parents, Alice and John Leahy; and two brothers, Patrick and Daniel; he is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his daughter, Katherine; his son, John; one grandson; his sister, Johanna Hurley; and his brother, James T. Leahy.
He was buried at Our Lady of the Isle Cemetery on Shelter Island, New York on September 17. Mass was offered for him at Our Lady of the Isle Church on Shelter Island on September 18. Services were presided over by Father Peter DeSanctis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation; The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research; the National Wildlife Federation; Alaska Geographic; or Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.
