The Family Resource Network and Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey will host a day at the beach for special needs individuals and their families on Wednesday, August 25, at the Governors Beach house on Island Beach State Park. People with developmental disabilities such as epilepsy, autism, mental retardation, spina bifida, traumatic injury, and cerebral palsy are welcome to enjoy a day of private, relaxing fun. Youth for Understanding USA (YFUUSA) is seeking local families to host high school exchange students for the next school year. Host families provide a place to live and three meals a day, plus the encouragement, advice, and caring to help their new family member through a semester or year.
