Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

"What are your thoughts on the recent toy recall and do you pay attention to where your products are manufactured?"

"I pay attention now. I think that something should have been done by the companies themselves. They should have checked the controls and what was going into the products before they contracted it out to China. Now I look at every item to see where it is made."

Ann Buttacavoli, Princeton

"I do pay attention to where products are manufactured and I think that it is unfortunate on both sides of the ocean that people are exposed to lead and other toxins."

Eileen Hudziak, Milltown

"I have not paid attention to where they are manufactured, but I will now. It's a shame that we are in this situation now: it's too bad for America and too bad for China."

Livia McCarthy and Delia, Princeton

"We did not pay attention before, but we do now. It's pretty embarrassing for the toy companies and we have gone to great lengths to make sure we don't have any of those products at home."

Daniel Goldsmith, Pennington

"I generally don't pay attention to where the products are manufactured. The recall is scary and I am going to research it more and find out what toys, in fact, were recalled."

Tricia Debari, South Brunswick
