A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week: "Has the dramatic increase in gas prices affected your driving habits or travel plans?"

"It should have but we have plans made up already so we are still going ahead with these plans. It is very expensive and it may affect us in the future."

Pablo Zurita, Nassau Street

"You have picked a public transportation activist. I don't have a car. I take only public transportation, walk and bike. I haven't been affected at all. Princeton is one of the "walking towns" in this country. It has the highest percentage of people who move around in this community by walking."

Nancy Arnold, Palmer Square

"Not really, no. I have a car that gets excellent gas mileage so it really wouldn't impact me."

Ann O'Dowd, Lawrenceville Road

"No it has not. I travel little. I walk to work. I am not an average person in that sense but I am more aware of driving. It has not affected me so far."

Luis Tellez, Mercer Street

"Only in that I have become obsessed with who has the cheapest gasoline in town. I am not driving any less or not going places."

Martha Wright with Georgia and Sidney, Cherry Valley Road
