Apse-Dies. Kira Apse, daughter of Juris and Astrida Apse of Princeton, to Jeremy Dies, son of Bob and Pamela Dies of Westport, Conn.
Ms. Apse is a 1994 graduate of Princeton High School, a 1998 graduate of Bucknell University, and 2003 graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with a master’s degree in genetic counseling. She is currently the Director of Family Research Network for the Autism Consortium.
Mr. Dies is a 1999 graduate of Cornell University and is employed by IBM as program manager for the Genographic Project, a joint venture with the National Geographic Society.
An August 2008 wedding is planned in Boston.
Chen-Penningroth. Carolyn Chen, daughter of Patricia and James Chen of Yorba Linda, Calif., to Dylan Craig Penningroth, son of Penny Baskerville of Princeton and Stephen Penningroth of Trumansburg, N.Y., on October 27 at Grace Episcopal Church in Chicago, Ill.
Father Joseph Palacios of Georgetown University, a longtime friend of the bride’s, was the celebrant. The couple’s sisters, Jennifer Chen, sister of the bride, and Ailey Penningroth, sister of the groom, assisted the bride. Charles Bush was a reader.
The bride is a graduate of Brown University and is an assistant professor of sociology and Asian American Studies at Northwestern University. The groom is a 1989 graduate of Princeton High School and received his B.A. from Yale University. He is an associate professor of history at Northwestern University and a research fellow with the American Bar Foundation.
The couple will reside in Chicago.
Collier-Reilly. Megan Marie Collier, daughter of Janet and Richard Collier of Belle Mead, to Michael Patrick Reilly, son of Madeline & James Reilly of Narragansett, R.I. on August 18. The ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Church in Princeton followed by a reception at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.
The celebrant was Fr. Ronald K. Tacelli, S.J., one of the bride’s professors from Boston College. Matt Gill, the groom’s childhood friend, served as best man while Sara Kestner, the bride’s best friend from Stuart Country Day School, served as matron of honor. Colleen Boisclair, the groom’s sister, and Sean and Matthew Collier, the bride’s brothers, were also in the wedding party.
The bride, a 1996 graduate of Stuart Country Day School, earned her B.A. in sociology and Spanish from Boston College in 2000 and her M.Ed. from Providence College. She currently teaches Spanish and coaches soccer and lacrosse at Catholic Memorial School, an all-boys’ middle and high school in West Roxbury, Mass.
The groom graduated in 2000 from Boston University with a B.S. in Communications. He is an account director at Fama P.R., a high-tech public relations firm in Cambridge, Mass.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and currently reside in Brighton, Mass.
McCrudden-Erickson. Dr. Kimberly W. McCrudden, daughter of Christopher and Judith McCrudden of Princeton, to Dr. John M. Erickson, son of James and Diana Erickson of El Paso, Texas, on September 15. The Rev. Frank C. Strasburger, an Episcopal minister, performed the ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Dr. McCrudden, who will keep her name professionally, is a clinical assistant professor of pediatric surgery at the University of Michigan and an attending pediatric surgeon at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. She attended Princeton High School, then graduated from Princeton University magna cum laude with a degree in molecular biology. She received her medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, completed her general surgery residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Center, then finished a pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her father is the treasurer and vice president for finance at Princeton University. Her mother is the office manager for William H. Lese Realty Services, Inc. in Manhattan.
Dr. Erickson is currently a senior orthopedic surgery resident at the University of Michigan. He was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Austin High School in El Paso, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University in Texas where he was a University Scholar. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. His father, a former lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army who retired after 22 years of service, is currently working as a commercial real estate agent in El Paso. His mother works as a real estate property manager in El Paso.
The couple will reside in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
