ALL-PRINCETON SMILES: This dodgeball team from Princeton Day School overcame 44 other eight-member teams from Princeton High School, Stuart Country Day, the Hun School, and PDS, to win the Corner House All City Dodgeball tournament last month. The event, spearheaded by the Corner House Student Board, attracted an estimated 650 students, school faculty, and parents, to the PHS gymnasium and served as a blueprint for future events, said organizers. The PDS team included seniors Jon Gatarz, Carson Bird, Antoine Hoppenot, juniors Joe Rogers, Tyler Howe, Anthony Farina, Mike Darrar, and sophomore Kenny Holzhammer. |
A gigantic all-Princeton event has awakened school administrators, parents, and students to an essential truth: that good clean fun can be, in fact, fun — even in playful combat. The event? A dodgeball tournament. The weapons? Nerf balls. The assailants? Hundreds of participants — eight of whom walked away with a six-foot-four-inch trophy — were already asking when the next event would take place.
Princeton Township Committee last month signed off on a plan that will, if successful, increase the level of citizen input as Township Hall weighs its annual operating expenses.

Thirteen galleries on the first and second floors of the historic former governor’s mansion have been decked out for the holidays with seven-foot high evergreens (synthetic rather than live because of potential water, resin, and fire hazards), table top, mantel, hearth, and window decorations created by Altina’s Custom Interiors, Amy Karyn Home, Be Merry Designs, Christie Robb, Cranbury Station Gallery, Dogwood Garden Club, Garden Club of Princeton, Hamilton Jewelers, Inez Scribner, Nassau Inn, Princeton Doll and Toy Museum, Stony Brook Garden Club, Tibbetts Interiors, Westminster Choir College, and, for the first time, Town Topics newspaper.
The annual “Sauce for the Goose Holiday Sale” opened yesterday at the conTEMPORARY Arts Center in the Princeton Shopping Center.
