Navy Capt. Patrick J. Keenan, son of Princeton residents Margaret and Patrick Keenan, recently assumed duties and responsibilities as U.S. Navy director of ocean engineering and supervisor of salvage and diving aboard Navy Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C. As the supervisor of salvage and diving, he is responsible for all aspects of ocean engineering including salvage, in-water ship repair, contracting, towing, diving safety, equipment maintenance and procurement. Mr. Keenan is a 1978 graduate of Princeton High School.

Bucknell University recently announced the names of following area students to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2008-09 academic year: Rachel B. Axelrod, daughter of Stuart and Judith Axelrod, a 2006 graduate of Princeton High School (PHS); Daniel T. Cavallaro, son of Carl and Julie Cavallaro, and a 2007 graduate of PHS; Lauren N. Gram, daughter of Clark and Amy Gram, a 2005 graduate of Franklin High School; Logan E. Morris, daughter of John and Susan Morris, a 2005 graduate of the Lawrenceville School; and Alexander M. Pron, son of Michael and Nancy Pron, a 2005 graduate of the Pennington School.

Princeton resident Karen Andrade-Mims has been named a Trustee of Planned Parenthood of Mercer Area. Vice Chair of Princeton’s Human Services Commission, Ms. Andrade-Mims is Executive Director of UIH Family Partners, the oldest nonprofit in the Garden State dedicated to the welfare of children. Prior to assuming her current position, she spent seven years with Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey, most recently as Deputy Director of Programs. As a consultant, Ms. Andrade-Mims’s clients have included Rutgers University, Princeton Corner House, Janus Solutions, and the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission.
