Anna Dawson-Pitts, daughter of Suzanne Dawson of Carrboro, N.C., and Stephen Pitts of Princeton, has been named an Episcopal Scholar at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School (SAS). She is a senior boarding student at the school in Sewanee, Tenn. Anna is a scholar, actress and tennis player at SAS. Inaugurated in the 1990-91 academic year, the Episcopal Scholars Program provides the opportunity for a boarding school education to a limited number of students who have been nominated by an Episcopal institution and who have demonstrated the academic potential and motivation to capitalize on the St. Andrew’s-Sewanee educational experience.

Gianni Donati, Bertrand Drive, has received first prizes for his recent chess compositions in tournaments held by problem journals in the United States (StrateGems), Denmark (Thema Danicum), Russia (Uralski Problemist), and Macedonia (Orbit). Mr. Donati, a classical guitarist, became a U.S. Master of Chess Composition in 1999 and over the past six years has served as director and judge for the Federation Internationale des Echecs, the international body governing chess composition. His chess problems have been published in 14 countries.

Jean M. Wiegner has been recognized by the Princeton Area Community Foundation (PACF) for her work to advance philanthropy and encourage charitable giving across central New Jersey. Ms. Wiegner has been with the Merrill Lynch Princeton office for 28 years and serves as a financial advisor. She resides in Princeton with her husband and twin daughters.
