STUDENT ASSEMBLY: Princeton High students celebrate with players on the PHS boys’ basketball team last Saturday after the fifth-seeded Little Tigers stunned No. 1 Monmouth Regional 55-46 in the Group III Central Jersey semifinals. The victory earned PHS a date with No. 3 Neptune in the sectional final Tuesday with the winner advancing to the Group III state semis on Thursday at Winslow Township High.

After much deliberation at last Tuesday’s Borough meeting, members of Council voted to extend hours on parking meters downtown, charge for parking on Sunday, raise Sunday fees in the municipal parking garage, and sell approximately 50 monthly parking permits.
Montclair-based artist Tom Nussbaum has been selected by the Hinds Plaza Committee to create a sculpture commemorating the life and legacy of longtime Princeton resident Albert E. Hinds. The Committee and Mr. Nussbaum came before Borough Council last Tuesday to present their vision of the artwork, and obtained an informal approval from Council.
The Township Committee authorized an application from the Princeton Sewer Operating Committee (PSOC) at its biweekly meeting on Monday. The application was for a loan from the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program to support several sanitary sewer system rehabilitation projects currently under consideration in both the Borough and the Township.
“Outside In,” a new exhibit at the Princeton University Art Museum, aims to dismantle any preconceived notions of what a mixture of Chinese, American, and contemporary art might look like.
The exhibit, “150+ Years of Princeton Public Schools: A Pictorial Retrospective,” was taking shape this week as students, teachers, and volunteers busily prepared for the exhibit’s official opening on Wednesday, March 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Princeton High School’s Numina Gallery. Sponsored by the Princeton Education Foundation (PEF), the event is free and open to the public.
Saying that he was tired of “new wave criticism,” author Peter Brooks described his quest for “a new way to do it.” The solution proved to be the book Henry James Goes to Paris, an examination of James’s year in Paris (1875 to 1876), and its consequences.
Although Princeton brought a 3-0 record into the clash with the Jaspers, senior attacker Davis had been held to a total of two assists in the Tigers’ last two outings.
It has taken a lot of toil and tribulation but Julia Berger was ready to shine in crunch time last Friday as the Princeton University women’s basketball team battled Columbia.
At times this season, A.J. Dowers went missing in action for the Princeton High boys’ basketball team.
