Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“What do you think of Governor Christie’s job performance to date?”

“I am not a big fan but I think that overall, the job he’s doing is OK, because he has to do what he has to do. He’s going to have to make some cuts to the budget. So far he’s been decent.”

ToniAnn Platia, Jackson

“I think he has a tough time, he has a good start.”

Andrei Kachala, Monmouth Junction.

“Some tough decisions have to be made, someone has to make them, some are not popular but, that’s why people voted for him. I respect him for taking the bull by the horns and addressing the problems.”

Mark Schwitz, Manalapan

“I think the jury is still out. I think he’s made too many cuts very quickly. It’s almost a slash and burn policy. Who knows, maybe it could be effective?”

Chris Green, Rocky Hill

“I’m very concerned about the budget cuts in particular to the libraries. I work at the library. Many libraries are very concerned about the funding from the state being cut.”

Clancy August, Princeton

“Chris Christie’s performance has been undecided so far this year.”

Dennis Murray, Rocky Hill
