EXPERT TIPS FOR BACKYARD BIRDERS: Steven Saffier of the Audubon Society shared tips for encouraging backyard birds in a presentation hosted by the D&R Greenway Land Trust at the Johnson Education Center last Thursday. Besides suggesting native plant substitutes, Mr. Saffier advised backyard bird lovers to reduce the size of their lawns as well as their use of pesticides.

Borough Hall Sides With Police in Double Time Pay Dispute
