Tani Brown first drew attention from Princeton University coaches for her cross country prowess.

With a resume that included a California state title and two regional crowns, Los Angles native Brown spent a lot of time with women’s cross country and track coach Peter Farrell when she came across the country to check out Princeton in 2005.

As an afterthought, she introduced herself to Tiger women’s basketball coach Richard Barron since hoops was her second sport.

With Midfielder Ehrenworth at Full Speed PHS Boys’ Soccer Making Noise in States

Paul Ehrenworth wasn’t himself earlier this season for the Princeton High boys’ soccer team.

“I sprained my ankle pretty bad towards the beginning of the season,” said Ehrenworth. “I wasn’t really healthy until three weeks ago so now I can finally play a bigger role on the team and help us.”

In the last week, Ehrenworth has given PHS a lot of help as it has gotten into the thick of tournament season.

Trevor Barsamian spent much of last week limping around, not looking like a running back ready to carry the load for the Princeton High football team.

Recovering from a gimpy ankle and dealing with a painful calf, much of Barsamian’s preparation for the November 7 clash with visiting WW/P-S centered on ice baths and stretching.

But when Barsamian woke up on Saturday with Senior Day festivities hours away, he knew that he would be in action.

Hun Girls’ Soccer Falls in Prep A Title Game but Senior Star Fiori Displays Fire to the End

There were just a few minutes left in the state Prep A Championship game last Sunday and the Hun School girls’ soccer team found itself trailing perennial power Pennington by 3-0.

But that deficit didn’t keep Hun senior defender Gina Fiori from giving her all.

The scrappy and skilled Fiori was all over the turf field at Pennington, starting a run up the field one minute, making a clearance minutes later and then lobbing a free kick towards the Pennington goal.
