STANDING TOGETHER: Friends and members of Not In Our Town, an interracial, interfaith social action group, display their enthusiasm at last year’s Stand Against Racism event bringing together members of the community to celebrate diversity and question structural inequities. This year’s event will take place on Friday, April 30, and is a collaboration between the YWCA, local merchants, and Not In Our Town. At 9:30 a.m. business owners and employees will form a human chain beginning on Palmer Square East, and a rally will commence at Tiger Park on Nassau Street and Palmer Square from 5 to 6 p.m. Princeton High School a cappella group Around 8 is scheduled to perform.

Taking a Stand Against Racism Inspires Collaboration Between Princeton Groups

This Friday marks the annual Stand Against Racism, a nation-wide event sponsored by the YWCA, which brings together people of various backgrounds and is designed to combat racism by raising awareness about the issue.
